Sydney Live Transport Map (“the app”) — last updated 10 July 2026.
The app has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. We do not collect, store, or sell any personal data. Everything you save stays on your own device.
With your permission, the app uses your device's location to sort your saved routes by distance, show nearby stops and departures, guide you during a started trip (including the get-off-at-the-next-stop alert), and set trip origins. Your location is processed on your device and, when you plan a trip from your current position, sent to Transport for NSW's trip planner solely to compute that journey. It is never stored by us or shared with anyone else.
Saved routes, saved stops, recent searches, and an in-progress trip are stored only in your device's local browser storage. Deleting the app (or clearing site data) removes them permanently. We run no servers that hold user data.
The app displays public transport data from Transport for NSW Open Data and map tiles from OpenFreeMap. Requests to these services include only what is technically necessary (such as the stops or coordinates being queried) and are subject to those services' own policies.
